An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale occurred on Wednesday morning, at 3:00 local time, in Vrancea county, according to INFP.ro.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 73.4 kilometers, near the following cities: 28 km west of Focşani, 69 km north of Buzău, 82 km southwest of Bârlad, 82 km east of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 88 km south of Bacău and 96 km east of Brasov.

Since the beginning of April, 27 earthquakes have been recorded in Romania, with magnitudes between 2.4 and 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The biggest earthquake last year did not take place in Vrancea, but in Gorj!

Last year, the largest tectonic movement, with a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale, took place on February 14, in Gorj County, at a depth of 6.3 kilometers.
