It’s a busy weekend in Galaţi, with two football matches and of course the Scrumbiei Festival, which will attract thousands of people! Such force deployments require appropriate measures, so 120 gendarmes are mobilized to ensure public order and peace in the municipality and beyond.
Thus, the crews will be present at the Scrumbiei Festival, organized between April 26-28 on the Lower Cliff, at the Flower Pilgrimage, organized on April 27 in the municipalities of Galați and Tecuci, at the football match between the Oțelul Galați and FC Hermannstadt teams, held on April 28, at the “Oțelul” Stadium, as well as at a football match in the III League.
Independently or with the police, the gendarmes will seek to identify and deter those who disturb the public peace and will intervene to resolve situations that may harm the public peace.
“If they chose to participate in the public events organized during this period, we advise citizens not to carry valuables in sight, not to leave their luggage unattended, to pay special attention to children, if they are accompanied by them, because they can easily get lost in the crowd, to respect the instructions of the law enforcement and not to get involved in scandals”, stated Capt. Cătălin Bădin, the spokesperson of the Galati Gendarmerie.
