The driver who overturned with her car on Ady Endre street in Satu Mare municipality, damaging four other cars and injuring her own child (11 years old), was sentenced THIS WEEK to a 1 year and 2 month suspended prison sentence by the magistrates of the Satu Mare Court. The woman – who is from the Republic of Moldova – was tried for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
The accident occurred on April 4, 2023, around 1:00 p.m., when the police from the Satu Mare County Police Inspectorate were alerted to a traffic incident on Ady Endre Street in Satu Mare. Arriving at the scene, the police found out that a 43-year-old woman driving a car collided with a parked car, which she rammed into another car, after which she overturned with her own car. colliding with another car.
As a result of the event, an 11-year-old minor, who was in the car driven by the woman, was injured. The woman was tested with the alcohol test device, the result being 0.94 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
Interviewed by the police, she told them that she consumed alcoholic beverages due to severe personal problems and that she regrets what happened. That’s why the judges let themselves be indulged and gave a sentence aimed at the minimum possible in such cases.
