On Easter, he wanted to burn his neighbor at the stake!

The prosecutor’s office attached to the Braşov District Court ordered on Tuesday, May 7, the initiation of criminal proceedings against a woman from Braşov, accused of intentionally setting fire to her neighbor’s house.
According to the prosecutors, on the night of Sunday to Monday, May 5/6, around 01:30, “a 59-year-old female person, who lived in a wagon-type building located in the Noua-Dârste area and which was divided into four apartments, one of which belonged to him, set fire to his neighbor’s part of the building by placing a burning piece of cardboard underneath.” The fire spread to the other two parts of the building, with 2 of the other 3 tenants inside. The people inside were evacuated, but the fire burned on an area of ​​about 80 square meters and caused damage estimated by the victims at about 29,000 lei.
“The arson would have taken place against the background of some quarrels that occurred at a party organized by the defendant that evening in the yard of the building, but also of an older conflict situation. It is necessary to mention that the defendant evicted only the person with whom she was not in conflict, her direct neighbor being removed from the house exclusively as a result of the prompt intervention of the police bodies who later came to the scene, who notified the state of danger to his life”stated prosecutor Radu Nastac, spokesperson of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Braşov District Court.
The woman was detained the day after Easter, and on May 7 she was proposed for preventive arrest at the Braşov Court. On the same day, the judge of rights and freedoms of the Braşov Court admitted the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office and ordered the preventive arrest of the defendant for 30 days, under the charge of “destruction by arson”.
