The second suspect in the Sibiu crime case will be brought to the country next week

--

Cristian Minae, the second suspect in the murder of businessman Adrian Kreiner, will be brought to Romania on April 30, judicial sources told Agerpres.

Marian Cristian Minae agreed to be brought to the country from Ireland, after which the extradition procedures to our country began, the Minister of Justice, Alina Gorghiu, announced on April 20.

“I want to give you some information about an important file for the Romanian state. It is the Kreiner file, the heinous crime from Sibiu. On Friday, the term was held at the court in Ireland and one of the defendants, one of the fugitives, named Cristian Marian Minae, consented to surrender.

This means that from Monday we will start the handover procedures. The Romanian Police, the ANP, the Ministry of Justice, I assure you that they will be very careful, so that the entire handover procedure goes smoothly,” said Gorghiu, in a message on Facebook.

On November 6, 2023, businessman Adrian Kreiner was beaten and robbed in his own home. The thieves stole watches worth 200,000 euros. The businessman’s girlfriend and daughter were also in the house.

Two of the three men who allegedly beat and killed the businessman were caught in Great Britain, one in Scotland – Laurentiu Ghiţă, another in Northern Ireland – Marian Cristian Minae.

Laurentiu Ghiţă was brought to the country in December 2023, and Marian Cristian Minae was to be handed over by the Irish authorities at the end of April.

The third individual involved in the crime, Cosmin Costinel Zuleam, has not yet been caught.

An accomplice of the criminals, Ilie Sitariu, the one who was their guide, was caught in the country and recently sentenced to three years in prison with suspension, for committing the crime of favoring the perpetrator.
