Between April 25 and May 2, the Easter fair takes place on the esplanade of the House of Culture in the municipality of Suceava. According to the organizers, 20 popular craftsmen from Suceava county will sell products specific to the Easter holidays and will participate in egg-dying demonstration workshops. Both on Palm Sunday and on the first day of Easter, Easter concerts will take place in the center of Suceava.
Suceava City Hall has started decorating the city for the Easter holidays. Decorations bought by the municipality in previous years are used.

“Yes, every year we prepare for the celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord and we try to create this atmosphere in the municipality so that the people of Sucevan are closer to this celebration. We normally use what we had in previous years as well. We will mount Easter pounds on these poles in the Suceava municipality in the central area, as well as in the other neighborhoods, Burdujeni and Obcini. We have banners between the pillars with that message of “Christ is Risen” and “Blessed Holidays”, 12 such banners. And in the city we have placed those carts, eggs, wheelbarrows in different locations and, of course, in the central area we are preparing for the Easter Fair, the fair that will be open today. We have set up the 25 boxes, of course, the entrance gate and, as you saw, in partnership with the County Council, a stage was set up there on which different artistic events will be played in the interest of the people of Sucevan.”
Between April 25 and May 2, on the esplanade of the House of Culture, an Easter Fair takes place, attended by 20 folk craftsmen from Suceava county. As well as selling products specific to the Easter holidays, folk craftspeople will be giving egg dyeing demonstrations. On their stalls you can find painted eggs, traditional costumes and decorative ceramic objects. On Palm Sunday, a religious music concert will take place on the stage on the esplanade of the House of Culture. On the first day of Easter, from 1:00 p.m., on the esplanade of the House of Culture, there is an Easter concert performed by Ovidiu Lipan Șăndărică and Fanfara 10 Prăjini.

Oana Șlemco is a graduate of the Faculty of Public Administration and the Faculty of Letters and Communication Sciences, within the “Ștefan cel Mare” University Suceava. In 2008, he received the publication award of the Cultural Foundation of Bucovina. In 2013, he won a “Euromonitor for Excellence” scholarship and did a training internship in the RFI newsroom in Brussels. In 2016, he received the award for the journalism category in the “People of the Time” campaign. In 2020, he received the top prize “Honestly about poverty”, awarded by the “Renasis” Association.
