Entitled “The biggest egg hunt in Romania”, the event at the airfield turned into a huge scandal, after the children failed to “hunt” a single egg. The event took place on Friday, April 26, at the Margineni Airport. The parents took their children, paid the fee of 60 lei or 90 lei/child and came to the festival. Everything took place on a field, in the Margineni commune.
The organizers promised, in the presentation poster, that the little ones “they will have the mission to collect as many eggs as possible and keep them as souvenirs.” Special prizes were also announced.
The event started with an air show, and the children could participate in various workshops for a fee. Due to the very large crowd, many watched the air show and waited for the egg hunt, which never took place. According to the organizers – due to a technical failure, the pilot could no longer throw eggs from the plane. A person dressed as a bunny threw some eggs at the participants, which created a crowd, and the children dressed up and hit each other.
At the end, many participants asked the organizers for their money back:
“What did you do with the money? Did they fly on my money? Give us our money back” cried the parents, dissatisfied with how the event unfolded
