USR filed a complaint with DIICOT against the mayor Cristian Popescu Piedone and the “criminal group” that seized the Sector 5 City Hall and subordinate institutions

The lawyer and leader of USR Sector 5 councilors, Alexandru Dimitriu, filed a complaint with DIICOT on Thursday morning against Mayor Cristian Popescu Piedone and the criminal group that seized the Sector 5 City Hall and its subordinate institutions, as revealed by the media, USR announces, News transmits .ro.

The USR accuses that “around Cristian Popescu Piedone, the PUSL candidate for the General City Hall of the Capital, there are dozens of relatives and party members who held or hold public leadership positions”.

“All these characters get public contracts in the institutions overseen by him or that seem to have the role of piggy banks for real estate and luxury cars purchased with funds whose provenance is uncertain, as it results from an extensive journalistic investigation carried out by G4Media.ro. In total, this brotherhood, which has been operating in full force for several years, shares or owns hundreds of millions of lei – fabulous fortunes and public contracts”, USR says in an official statement.

“Children, mother-in-law, son-in-law, nephews, cousin, driver, driver’s son, son’s brother-in-law, daughter’s boss, criminal convicts, underlings, a nephew’s concubine, the concubine’s mother, employees who moved with the boss when he changed town halls – all they are part of Piedone’s machine, the one who, in his CV, is a mirror image of everyone: the son of a former communist official, criminally convicted, connected to public resources, member of a controversial party, everywhere planning an avalanche of question marks and suspicions”, it is stated in the complaint made by USR and Alexandru Dimitriu, candidate for the United Right at the Sector 5 City Hall.
