The “Irina” Family House is undergoing rehabilitation – Oltenia regional news

A building of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Dolj will be rehabilitated. It is about the building where the “Irina” Craiova Family House operates. Dolj County Council wants to increase the strength and stability of the building and reduce carbon emissions.

The county councilors approved, in Thursday’s meeting, two projects in this sense, namely the technical-economic documentation of the DALI phase and the technical-economic indicators for the investment objective and the updated general budget (PT phase) and the technical-economic indicators. It was proposed for financing through the National Program for the consolidation of buildings with high seismic risk. The building has a high seismic risk, namely II.

“In accordance with the provisions of Law no. 212/2022, regarding the development of the National Program for the consolidation of buildings with high seismic risk approved by OMDLPA 2853/2022, the Dolj County Council submitted for financing the project “Rehabilitation and modernization of public buildings, located in Corneliu Coposu street no. 107, Craiova municipality, Dolj county, in order to increase their resistance and stability and decrease carbon emissions (Corp C2)” within the National Program for the consolidation of buildings with high seismic risk”according to Dolj County Council.

Several building consolidation works will be done: opening works, repair works to the existing reinforced concrete elements, repair works to the masonry, intervention works to the masonry walls, interventions to the framework, interventions to the foundations.

After the execution of these intervention works, the building will fall into seismic risk class IV.

“Also, through this project, works are proposed to increase energy performance, with beneficial influences on thermal comfort, reducing energy consumption in operation and reducing the impact on the environment in the long term”it is also stated in the judgment of CJ Dolj.

The total value of the project is 3,632,221.09 lei including VAT, and the duration of the investment objective is 24 months.

The purpose of the social service of the “Irina” Family House is to ensure the access of the disabled child, temporarily or permanently deprived of the protection of his parents and for whom a special protection measure has been established, to specialized hosting, care, rehabilitation, education services and preparation for reintegration or family integration and social integration/inclusion.
