Man from Neamt arrested for robbery

A 34-year-old man from the town of Vânători – Neamț was deprived of his liberty for 30 days, after assaulting a person who had called the single emergency number accusing him of being sick. The act took place on April 22, around 9:10 p.m., the investigators being requested by the medical crew that provided first aid to the victim.

Research has established that on that day, a 62-year-old man from Dâmbovița county called the single emergency number 112 and complained of pain. “Until the arrival of the medical team, the 62-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a person who punched him in the face, took his wallet from his pocket and stole the sum of approximately 150 lei. Because the person in question was confused, he could not give full accounts of the circumstances and the indications of the person who allegedly assaulted him“, announces the Neamt Police.

Following the activities carried out by the investigators, it was possible to identify and track down the person suspected of committing the crime of aggravated robbery. On April 24, he was presented before the magistrates of the Târgu Neamț Court, who ordered the preventive arrest: “It accepts the proposal for preventive arrest formulated by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Târgu Neamț Court through report no. 517/P/2024 dated 24.04.2024, and consequently (…) orders the preventive arrest of the defendant CF called N., son of V. and G., born on x, in x, domiciled in x, CNP, for committing the crime of qualified robbery (…) for a period of 30 days, starting on 24.04.2024 and ending on 23.05.2024 inclusive“.
