After submitting his candidacy for a new mandate as head of the Prahova County Council, although he is accused of taking bribes, Iulian Dumitrescu arrived at the Police to sign the judicial review in the file in which he is accused of taking bribes of 16 million lei.

In an interview for Antena 3 CNN, Iulian Dumitrescu spoke about the main reasons why he is again running for the position of president of the Prahova County Council.

“Yesterday I submitted my candidacy for a new mandate as president of the County Council and I said that it was a personal decision, but I did not take it alone, I consulted with the mayors.

There are two directions. On the one hand, I have to find out what the people of Prahova want, if they still want me to run, and on the other hand, I want to defend Prahova from PSD, which is under the direction of the Cosma clan, which has a certain reputation.

Those from the Cosma Clan are desperate to get their hands on Prahova County, that’s why they resort to protests, blackmail and threats. I’m not going to let them get their hands on Prahova and destroy her.

I am under investigation and under judicial control. If you look at the political parties you will also find people who are under criminal investigation.

I am innocent, otherwise I would not be a candidate”, said Iulian Dumitrescu, candidate for the position of president CJ Prahova.
