Unirea Slobozia will play for the first time in the Superliga! The people of Ialomi are mathematically promoted after the success in Mioveni

On Wednesday, Unirea Slobozia defeated the CS Mioveni group 1-0 away, in the sixth stage of the second league play-off.

• Unirea Slobozia was promoted to Superliga for the first time in its history.

Slobozia prevailed in Mioveni from a penalty scored by Vlăsceanu for a foul committed by Massaro in the box, penalty converted by Florin Purece in the 45th+3rd minute.

With this victory, the team coached by Adrian Mihalcea reached 53 points and leads the second league play-off with 53 points, followed by CSC Şelimbăr (46 points) and Corvinul Hunedoara (45 points). However, both teams do not have promotion rights, and the difference between Unirea Slobozia and the first team with promotion rights, Gloria Buzău, is 12 points with four stages left until the end of the season in League 2.

For Unirea Slobozia, it is the first promotion to the first league stage in the club’s history.

In the second match of the day, CSC Şelimbăr and FC Csikszereda ended in a tie, score 2-2. Monea opened the score for the hosts in the 4th minute. Pinter equalized for the guests after only two minutes. Şelimbăr returned to the advantage in the 53rd minute, through Stefan Visic, and Makrai equalized for Csikszereda in the 84th minute. The team from Miercurea Ciuc is in 5th place in the play-off, with 40 points.
