Iulian Dumitrescu has officially submitted his candidacy to CJ Prahova

Iulian Dumitrescu is currently under judicial control, being investigated for acts of corruption. He was accused by the DNA of taking a bribe.

“The President of PNL Prahova, Iulian Dumitrescu, submitted today, April 24, the signatures and the candidacy file for a second mandate at the head of the County Council.

The decision was taken following discussions with the mayors and other local elected officials who requested continuity at the level of the county administration in the context of the projects of over three billion euros from European funds that CJ Prahova managed to attract during his mandate “it is stated in a press release of PNL Prahova.

According to the same source, the head of PNL Prahova said that submitting the candidacy for a new mandate at the head of the County Council “was not a simple decision”.

“Out of respect for the people of Prahoven and for the local elected officials, I decided to run for a new mandate and to offer continuity at the level of the County Council.

Together with these people – mayors, vice mayors, local and county councilors -, we managed to do in 3 years in Prahova what was not done in 30 years before.

We have contracts with European funds of over three billion euros. We started extremely necessary infrastructure projects: the belts from Comarnic, Azuga – Buşteni, Mizil, Păuleşti, Câmpina.

We modernized the County Hospital and today we have the most modern operating theater in Romania. We started works to expand the sewerage and water supply network in 42 localities of Prahova County, worth almost one billion euros.

We managed to build the gas network in the towns of Valea Slănicului and the connection to the gas main follows. We equip schools in 59 localities with state-of-the-art digital equipment, furniture, teaching materials and specialized equipment.

They are concrete, punctual and measurable things. They are not words, they are not promises, but realities that give the measure of the things I have done for Prahova as the president of the County Council”transmitted Iulian Dumitrescu.

Ludovic Orban: “Defiant insensitivity!”

The President of Forța Dreptei, Ludovic Orban, had a vehement reaction to the news that Iulian Dumitrescu submitted his candidacy, despite the problems he has with the judiciary.

“Defiant insensitivity! Baron “Lamborghini” of Prahova submitted his candidacy for a new mandate as president of the Prahova County Council.

Suspected of taking a bribe of 16 million, under judicial control, up to his neck in all the embezzlement of public money in Prahova county (and not only), Dumitrescu has the shamelessness to make the attempt to morally pollute Prahova county for another 4 years.

During this time, Ciucă “neither ate garlic, nor did his mouth smell”. It turns out that he has nothing to do with this shameful candidacy for the PNL.

I remind him that the pnl statute stipulates that the National Political Bureau is the one that validates the party’s candidacies for the position of president of the County Council. That is, Dumitrescu has no way to run unless he has his approval.

It seems that Dumitrescu’s ‘special’ relationship with Iohannis and the system is stronger than the law, the PNL statute or morality. Such candidacies do nothing but throw another stain on the increasingly dirty face of the PNL.
