Specific preparations for the Easter Holidays in the centers subordinated to DGASPC Gorj | Breaking local news, video news

A special menu and a festive atmosphere! These are the words that define the preparations being made during this period in the centers for children and adults under the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Gorj.

In a meticulous effort to welcome the Resurrection of the Lord, the accommodation and dining areas are subjected to an extensive cleaning and sanitization process, so that each beneficiary enjoys optimal conditions. “Within this atmosphere full of color and creativity, thematic activities are carried out, such as painting eggs and making greeting cards and ornaments, which will beautify the locations where the children and adults from the protection system of DGASPC Gorj are housed. Moreover, the beneficiaries have the opportunity to participate in the religious services held during Holy Week, thus giving them the opportunity to experience the traditions and spirituality of this period”, said Laurențiu Diaconescu, general director of DGASPC Gorj.
At the same time, during this period, several people or companies from the county make donations for the beneficiaries of the DGASPC centers which consist of packages with sweets, fruits, vegetables and other products, thus bringing a touch of light into their lives. “Currently, as for the number of beneficiaries, we have over 340 people in the adult centers and 144 in the children’s centers, of which 40 are in family-type homes”, stated Minodora Sucea, the spokesperson of the county institution .

Festive menu, in all centers
Some of the centers subordinated to the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Gorj have meals provided by a catering company. The management of DGASPC Gorj requested the company that provides the food that the dishes brought during Easter should be traditional ones. ,,DGASPC Gorj reaffirms this year its commitment to the well-being and comfort of its beneficiaries, offering them a special menu with traditional dishes specific to the Easter Holidays. They will serve dishes such as: red eggs, lamb shank, boeuf salad, roast lamb, sarmales, steaks, cozonac and homemade cakes. Thus, every meal becomes an occasion of joy and celebration for all those involved”, announced DGASPC director Gorj.
In the family-type houses, the employees of DGASPC Gorj will prepare for Easter the dishes specific to this holiday. Thus, the children in these homes will feel the spirit of the holidays as they should, with traditional products on their tables. “In the family-type houses, where our staff prepares the meal, a traditional menu will also be prepared, specific to the Easter holidays. Those from family-type homes have already made a request with what they want for the Easter meal and will receive what they asked for,” said the spokesperson of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection.
The management of DGASPC Gorj, together with its employees, make efforts so that all the beneficiaries of the services offered within the institution feel the spirit of the Resurrection of the Lord and have an atmosphere as close as possible to the family one. “The General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Gorj remains devoted to its mission of providing support and protection to those in need, and during this festive period it reinforces its commitment to be a pillar of support and hope for the community.
