Andrian Locovei, A Well-known Actor From Oradea, Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison For Rape

In addition to the sentence, the court ordered the actor to pay the victim moral damages of 50,000 lei. The actor announced that he will appeal the sentence, so the final verdict will be pronounced by the Oradea Court of Appeal.

The rape took place on the night of July 2 to 3, 2022, right in the woman’s home, and Andrian Locovei premeditated his act.

According to prosecutors, on the night of the incident, the host retired early, leaving his guests to continue partying. Locovei waited until most of the partygoers had left, and then he claimed to be going to say goodbye, but entered the woman’s bedroom and raped her.

The next day, the woman went to the Police and reported the assault. Following the complaint, Andrian Locovei was detained for 24 hours, and a day later he was placed under judicial control, with the prohibition to approach his victim’s home.

Testimony in the case showed that they were both drunk that night, according to local media.

Throughout the process, the actor denied the accusations, claiming that “the sexual act was consensual”, and the file is “a piece of crap, built with tricks, psychologists and without any proof that it was a forced sexual act”.

“The accusation is extremely serious and I will make the whole file public, at the end, to show all the donkeys that happened. I am obliged to prove to public opinion, family, colleagues, that everything is a lie. I have nothing to hide”, said Andrian Locovei, contacted by Ebihoreanul.

At the age of 45, Andrian Locovei is an actor in the Iosif Vulcan Troupe from the Regina Maria Theater. Throughout his career, he played in dozens of plays, and between 2018 and 2020 he also held the position of artistic director of the institution.

Several years ago, the actor also got involved in politics, actively supporting the campaign to unify the municipality of Sânmartin with Oradea. Andrian Locovei is married.
