A medical center in Hamilton has had to make an “urgent correction” after a new road marking in its parking bay contained a spelling mistake.

The freshly-painted road marking right outside the Anglesea Clinic Urgent Care facility had the words “urgent care” marked out in big yellow letters.

The clinic uploaded a video of the mistake to its social media, with the caption “accidents happen… if it’s medical, come see us. Meanwhile, we’ll get this fixed.”

Other users were quick to see the humor, with one commenting: “They urgently need to fix that”.

Another said they went into reception to inform them and that “thankfully a staff member had noticed the error”.

Anglesea Clinic chief executive Donovan Clarke told 1News they are well-versed in accidents, “but usually the medical kind”.

“Hopefully this has put a smile on the faces of our patients,” he said.

“Despite the spelling error, we are still open for all your urgent accident or medical concerns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

The clinic said it is working on fixing the mistake in the coming days.
