Modern school campus in Ilfov. Ilfov County Council and Măgurele City Hall have launched an educational project that will redefine the standards of education in Romania.

It is about a modern education campuslocated on a generous area of ​​27 hectares, which will provide special educational opportunities for approximately 2,500 students and 1,000 kindergarten children, with approximately 1,500 places for primary and secondary school, as well as approximately 1,000 places for high school.

Modern education campus in Ilfov county

The campus will have accommodation units for high school students, with over 500 places available. Thus, students will have the opportunity to live and learn in a safe and stimulating environment.

In addition to modern classrooms, the campus will also have excellent facilities for extracurricular activities. There will be canteens, gymnasiums, sports fields including a swimming pool, a well-equipped library and function and performance rooms.

Importantly, the campus will also include facilities for children with special needs.

The project aims to provide an inclusive environment adapted to the needs of these children.

Special attention will be paid to the training of appropriate teaching staff and the availability of medical offices and specialists in the field of special education.

The objective of creating this campus is to offer a quality education that prepares our students for the challenges of the future, in an environment that stimulates and supports them in their integral development.

A center of excellence in the town of Magurele will bring enormous benefits to the local community, strengthening education as a pillar of our common progress, serving as a model for education across the country.

Considering the sharp demographic growth and the dynamic development of Ilfov County, this innovative project comes at a crucial moment for the local community.

With the increasing population, there is an urgent need for adequate educational infrastructure that can handle the demands of an expanding community.

The conceptual note of the project was made by the chief architect of the Ilfov County Council, Olivia Oprescu, in collaboration with Măgurele Town Hall. The campus will be designed with NZeb (Net Zero Energy Building) technology, representing a first for education in Romania.

This concept will ensure almost zero energy consumption, contributing significantly to environmental protection and sustainability education of new generations.

Other modern technological elements will be implemented to create a learning environment adapted to current and future needs.

The project will integrate advanced digital infrastructure such as Building Management Systems (BMS), digital educational equipment and materials, and facilitate access to high-speed Internet throughout the campus.
