The Collective Labor Agreement for the period 2024-2026 was signed yesterday by the CEO heads and union leaders of the representative organizations. It is to be submitted to the ITM for registration and will apply from 1 May 2024.
Only, those who work the most, received the least in salary, despite the assurances given by the union leaders that they will “fight” in negotiations for the people they represent.
Negotiating in contempt of employees who work on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
Many realized that these negotiations were done in great disdain towards some of the employees: “It remains to be seen the net amount that will be left monthly on the new CCM, after the state stops all our taxes! All that people want is to really feel the growth that was promised to them”, said the vice-president of the Rovinari Energy Union, Manu Tomescu.
The lowest salary increase
He is outraged at how the CEO’s administration treats those who work the hardest. Unfortunately, these negotiations didn’t bring them any joy either, on the contrary: “And in this contract, exactly the employees who work on a continuous shift, 24/24 hours, were despised!” While a holiday is announced at the company for all other employees, starting from April 27, until May 7, exactly those who remain in production to ensure the operation of the groups, starting from the circuits that supply coal to the rooms of order, all these employees and in this contract, like the old one, received the smallest salary increase! There are salaried employees who work continuously, and saturdays and sundays and all public holidays when most people enjoy days off and holidays! Exactly these people received the lowest salary increase this time as well, in this contract! And more than that, on the new collective labor contract, those who work continuous shifts, on Saturdays and Sundays, will no longer be paid a percentage of 1.8, but only with a fixed amount of 65 gross lei! More precisely, the man will be left with 35 lei, “a meal voucher”! An additional meal voucher to the salary, for every Saturday and Sunday worked, means an enormous loss for all those who will work continuous shifts starting May 1, 2024! In my opinion, the management of the company and the two union federations have discouraged and despised the very employees who sacrificed their health and time spent on weekends and holidays with their families to come to work in continuous shifts to ensure the company’s production flow, 24 hours a day! For the rest, as I told you, it remains to be seen if there will be other problems, but in my opinion, this is a great injustice done to the employees who ensure the non-stop production flow of the company”, Manu also stated Tomescu.
“Is this a negotiation?”
One of the CEO’s employees declared, on the profile social media pages of the miners and energy workers, that a theft was committed: “You work 8 Saturdays and Sundays and you are paid 4 at the level of class 25?” Others who did not work on the weekend receive 838 lei in their basic salary, undeservedly. Is this negotiation? That’s thieving. That’s what these unions did. How mean can you be! Those who work in shifts, do you think they will still pay dues to these unions? 16 salaries were provided for in the CCM in case of individual dismissal and they signed 2-8 salaries depending on how many years you have until retirement, leaving room for abuses by the administration. How can God put up with you scoundrels? You have actually protected your interests and the criminal group. Is that what unionism means to you drones? At work in production, 7 out of 7, pay as you negotiated, not over coffees and rubbing mints through the CEO, idiots! Plaveti made you envelope, you compromised bastards!”, wrote one of the employees.
