A big company – with luxury products

The German company of upholstered furniture KZWO, whose articles are intended, among others, for cruise ships, yachts and caravans, but also for churches, entered Romania, preparing, in Satu Mare, furniture production activities, reveals data analyzed by Profit .ro. KZWO chose the Satu Mare South Industrial Park, where the Italian appliance company De’Longhi will build, after an investment of 40 million euros, the largest own factory of coffee machines in the world. The company was founded in 2014 and relaunched four years later with the digitization of the production of the factory in Germany.

We remind you that the De’Longhi coffee machine factory in the municipality of Satu Mare will start its production activities in June, the local authorities announce, who say that the investment of 40 million euros will make the factory in Satu Mare the largest hub of coffee machine production for the Italians from De’ Longhi in the world.

“De’Longhi starts production in June in the new factory in Satu Mare, an investment of 40 million euros. This factory will make Satu Mare the largest coffee machine production hub for De’ Longhi in the world. Mayor Gábor Kereskényi discussed with Mrs. Carmen Petcu, general manager of De’Longhi Romania, about the investment in Satu Mare, the factory will have 350 employees this year, which will increase to 800 by the end of next year. Satu Mare is attractive for investors”, it is stated in an information provided by the City Hall of the municipality of Satu Mare.

The Italian group De’Longhi, one of the most important players in the local production of household appliances, already owns two functional factories in Romania, in Cluj and Bihor counties. With the two factories, the Italian group had a turnover of almost 2.3 billion lei (470 million euros) in 2022.
