Employees of the Oltenia Energy Complex will be able to submit applications for the coal quota. The program to raise coal quotas will have started much earlier this year. The reason is related to the fact that every year the last coal quotas are distributed in December.

The activities are now intended to be completed in the autumn. Thus, everyone who will submit applications, will BENEFICIALtakes from the time of fuel at a reduced price. Every employee has the right, on demand, to a quantity of 10 tons of coal at the production price. Year after year, an additional amount of 2 tons was offered, but at the price set for third parties.

The Revenue and Expenditure Budget of the Oltenia Energy Complex sets the price of the ton of coal. The price of a megawatt is determined based on this price. The cost of CO2 certificates is added to these two components.

The fuel offered to employees for winter heating is one of the facilities established by the Collective Labor Agreement. In fact, miners and energy workers benefited, year after year, from a taxed amount of money representing the cost of the coal quota, in the form of a bonus. Subsequently, the employees submitted requests and received coal at a preferential price, four salary installments being withheld from them. There were years when the energy company made significant sums by selling lignite to third parties, being put up for sale a significant amount of coal, generally over a million tons.
