Tony da Silva (43 years old), the coach of those from Poli Iașisaid what he will do at the end of the season, if he manages to save the relegation team.

Poli Iasi faces Hermannstadt, Monday from 15:00, live on Digi Sport 1, in the 8th stage of the SuperLiga play-off.

Tony da Silva is ready for “madness”, if Poli Iasi saves itself from relegation: “I promise that”

Poli Iași is in ninth place in the SuperLiga play-out, with 21 points, and Tony da Silva conveyed that he had other, much more advantageous offers before arriving at the group from Copou. He hopes to save the team from relegation this season.

The coach from Poli Iasi promised that if he achieves his goal, then he will give his bonus to the players and run around the field shirtless and in his underwear.

When I got here, I lost a lot of things. I had an offer to be a selector in an African country and I didn’t go. In Portugal I also worked on television, I was an expert, I commented on the Champions League and other matches, but I came here because I like this job. I know my competence, I am very confident in myself. I am here with an open heart, I will fight until the end to help Poli Iași save itself.

I promised my boys something. I have to get a bonus as a coach if I save the team, but I don’t want any euro. I give everything to the boys! I try to motivate them. I didn’t come here for money. If I had come for the money, I certainly wasn’t at Poli Iași, I was somewhere else. I came here because Romania gave me many positive things and I try to give back to Romania what it gave me. I don’t spit in the plate where I ate.

When I was in Cluj the people were very ok, but here I felt the same. The world welcomed me with open arms, with love, with everything. I have a huge responsibility to fight for every ticket-paying fan. Life is hard everywhere. You pay for the stadium, you come to the stadium, and we had the responsibility to give everything and die on the pitch.

If Poli Iasi is saved, I promise to take off my beard and run laps in my panties around the field. That’s what I promise! And I will give the bonus to the players”, said Tony da Silva, according to sport.ro.
