British journalist Charlie Ottley returned to the Gorge a few days ago. Charlie made another stop at the mansion in Baia de Fier, which he fell in love with.

“We believe in the good, in the community, in Romanian tourism, in a beautiful Romania. It’s great when people with the same values and desires get to build things together for the community. The guesthouse we built here, in Baia de Fier, is the promise to future generations that we will not let the tradition become obsolete. Each episode of Flavors of Romania reveals Romanian traditions, customs that define our culture and the fascinating stories of the communities. Oltenia de Sub Munte hides a lot of sights and stories, and how privileged we are to be able to enjoy them. You can discover them all in season 2 of the series Flavors of Romania on Netflix”, the hosts, those from Conacul Olarilor, said.

The plastic artist Daciana Ungureanu wrote on her Facebook page about the reunion with Charlie Ottley, especially since she, in turn, fascinated him with his talent. It is also the reason why, by the way, Daciana appeared in the episode about Oltenia under the mountain in the Flavors of Romania series produced by Charlie Ottley.

“Seeing Charlie Ottley again at the end of last week was a real joy. His personality is very complex, journalist, director, producer, poet and…who knows how many interesting things he can’t do anymore? But, above all that, he loves Romania and proves it with the unique way in which he promotes its wild, authentic side. Charlie saw what I paint and how I paint, and thus I appeared in the “Oltenia” episode of the new Flavors of Romania documentary series”, is Daciana Ungureanu’s message.
