On the start list we find important names and a state-of-the-art technical equipment.

The start of the season in the National Rally Championship takes place this weekend in Harghita. The competition that opens the season brings 75 crews to the start, 57 of them scoring in the CNR, 9 going to compete in the Rally Start Trophy, and another 9 will look for the best time in the National Rally Championship for Historic Vehicles.

The Harghita stage also counts as the debut stage of the fourth season of the asphalt championship.
On the start list we find important names and with a last-generation technical equipment. There is Simone Tempesti, the current national champion and recent winner of the first stage of the European Championship, or Norbert Maior, the Brasov native ticking off the first podium in the Junior World Rally Championship last weekend.

After two consecutive rankings on the podium in the National Championship, Andrei Gârtofan from Brașov is aiming even higher this season even though he does not have many kilometers covered before the debut weekend.

“The goal is to fight for the title. We know the material, we are in the third year on this model and we have demands from ourselves, and surely if we stay on the road and concentrate, a nice result will come”stated Andrei Gârtofan.

The competition officially starts on Friday, April 26, with the format being identical to that of 2023: the “Bucin” race, followed by “Lebanon” and the super special in the center of Odorheiul Secuiesc. On Saturday, the event schedules three identical loops, with the “Merești”, “Sânpaul” and “Lueta” tests.
