​​The Romanian Gymnastics Federation announced on Wednesday the list of athletes who will represent our country at the European Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships that will be hosted by Rimini, Italy, from April 24-28.

According to the cited source, Romania will be represented by gymnasts Andrei Muntean, Nicholas Țarcă, Gabriel Burtanete, Robert Burtanete and Răzvan Marc (for seniors), as well as David Puicea, Sebastian Torcică, Flavius ​​Borca, Iustin Mihai, for juniors.

Roland Modoianu was entered as an individual gymnast and will be present in pommel horse, rings and bar qualifications. His scores will not count for the team.

For seniors, Romania will compete in the first subdivision alongside the representatives of Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Iceland, the Netherlands, Hungary and Slovenia.

The gymnasts trained by Marius Berbecar, Marius Urzică and Remus Jivan will start the pommel horse competition.

The juniors will start jumping, in the first subdivision of the competition, together with athletes from Israel, Slovenia, Hungary, Ireland and Albania. They will be accompanied in Italy by Răzvan Şelariu and Ștefan Gal.

More than 300 gymnasts (senior and junior) from 38 countries will compete between April 24-28 in Rimini.

The best individual athlete, among those not qualified for the Olympic Games, will get the ticket to Paris.

We remind you that the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place between July 26 and August 11.
