The Orange Sport commentator would have expected FCSB fans to storm the national stadium, especially since the team managed to win the first title after a 9-year hiatus. However, 29,347 spectators were present at the match, according to the announcement made by the organizers.
More than that, Bogdan Cosmescu is convinced that if Rapid or Dinamo had fought for the title and had the chance to close the championship on their own ground, the number of requests for tickets would have exploded.
“I was surprised by the small number of spectators at the match with Farul. 30,000 is little! You win the championship after 9 years and the stadium doesn’t break in two? I’m just saying this: If Rapidul were to win the championship, there were 270,000 requests for tickets. If it was Dinamo, there were 150,000 requests for tickets.
It didn’t seem like a large number of spectators at FCSB. 30,000 is not a bad number, for sure, but you take the championship after 9 years”, said Bogdan Cosmescu during the show “Minutul 91” from Orange Sport.
