ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia, extraordinary results at the Alba Carolina Karate Cup

The young athletes from ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia achieved extraordinary results at the Alba Carolina Karate Cup.

A week after the Scorpion Karate Cup in Balș, Olt county, karatekas from ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia participated in the Alba Carolina Karate Cup.

The competition took place on March 30, 2024, in the gym of the “Horea, Cloșca and Crișan” College in Alba Iulia, organized by ACS Karate Forever, Alba Iulia.

Young karatekas from several clubs in the country competed on the mats with great desire to compete, perseverance, determination, team spirit and desire to win, the representatives of ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP said.

The competition was organized in 5 events: kihon, individual kata, individual kumite, team kata and team kumite.

The delegation of the ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP, Alba Iulia was made up of sensei Dorin Mureșan, 4th dan, coach and referee in the competition and 6 karatekas, a slightly different lineup compared to the Scorpion Cup: Anamaria Suciu, Aura Muntean, Mihai Muntean , Claudia Cornici and two sportswomen at their first karate competition in which they participated with great enthusiasm and courage, Iulia Gordeș and Elizabeth Gordeș.

They received encouragement from parents, relatives, coaches and club mates who showed team spirit and martial arts and who trained hard, with desire, purpose, discipline, perseverance and courage.

The athletes trained in Alba Iulia by shihan Dumitru Danciu, 8 dan, sensei Cosmin Bolca, 5 dan, sensei Dorin Mureșan, 4 dan and sensei Laurentiu Bolca, 4 dan again had a high quality level and consistency in their evolutions, winning in total 8 medals, of which 4 gold medals and 4 silver medals.
