An incident involving a student of a high school in Micro 18 and an intoxicated man took place on Tuesday, at lunchtime, near the school unit
The 18-year-old boy, a student at “Dunărea” High School, was allegedly assaulted by an unknown individual, who allegedly threatened him and even attacked him with a knife. Faced with danger, the young man called 112, two crews from Section 3 and one of the gendarmes arrived at the scene, and detained the aggressor. He tried to justify his actions, claiming that the student looked at him badly.
“From the preliminary checks carried out by the police, it was established that the 31-year-old man, having a knife on him, would have threatened the young man with acts of violence, reasoning that the latter would have looked at him angrily. At the same time, he would have tried to hit him with the bladed weapon, and when the young man had avoided being injured, he would have been stabbed with the backpack he had on him. The knife supposed to have been used by the aggressor was found on the ground in that area and was picked up by the police for the continuation of the investigation”, stated the ag. head Fr. Ciprian Stoica, spokesperson of IPJ Galati.
The police, supported by the gendarmes, mobilized the aggressor, who was in an advanced state of intoxication and very agitated. For this reason, after a short stop at the police, where a criminal case was drawn up for disturbing the public order, threat and destruction, he was taken, under escort, to the Psychiatric Hospital, where he remained hospitalized.
