How much does it cost to rent Municipal Park West for a day? It’s cheaper than a month’s rent in a villa in Albert

A draft decision by the Local Council provides for new rates for renting spaces in the West Municipal Park. If the proposal is approved, public institutions subordinate to the City Council that provide services of public interest are exempted from paying the tariffs.

The draft decision was posted on the Ploiești City Hall website, in the decision-making transparency section, and provides for new rates for renting spaces at the West Municipal Park.

Thus, if the project is approved, 70 lei/hour will be charged for the rental of the football pitch, and 110 lei/hour for nighttime rental (with overnight).

The proposed rate for a subscription to rent the football pitch for a quarter/semester is 60 lei/hour and 90 lei/hour including overnight, and in the case of an annual subscription the rate is 50 lei/hour, respectively 80 lei /hour with nocturnal.

It should be noted that the night rate is applied from 17.00 in the November – February period and from 20.00 in the summer period.

For the basketball court, the proposed rate is 30 lei/hour during the day and 50 lei/hour if it is used at night, and for the tennis court the rate is 20 lei/hour and 40 lei in the case of nighttime use.

The draft decision also provides for higher rates for access to the ice rink, namely 15 lei/45 minutes, compared to 10 lei. The rate will increase, if the project is approved, for the rental of skates, respectively 15 lei/45 minutes compared to 10 lei. At the same time, if the project is approved, a new skate sharpening service is proposed, for which the rate is 15 lei/pair.

It should be noted that the rates for renting sports fields, as well as for the ice rink, have not been changed since 2018, and in the case of night rates, it is mentioned that the proposal takes place as a result of the new electricity prices, but also updating the inflation index.

For renting the stage, the proposed rate is 300 lei/hour, and for renting the area outside the stage, outdoors, it is 7000 lei/day (approximately 1400 euros). This in the conditions where a five-room villa in the Albert neighborhood is rented for 1900 euros/month.

If the project is approved, the parking rate will remain the lowest in Ploiești, namely 2 lei/hour, compared to 3 lei/hour charged for public parking lots. The rate for the parking permit in the area is 200 lei/year.

Regarding the tariffs for commercial premises, it is mentioned that they are in accordance with decision 670/2023.

The decision of the Local Council provides, in table 18, position 3, that, for occupying the land with terraces, the rate is 1.46 lei/m2/day.
