According to the IPJ Constanța, the police officers dispatched to the scene found that the impact occurred between a car, driven by a 28-year-old man, and an electric vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old man.
As a result of the road accident, a 59-year-old woman, a passenger in the electric vehicle, was injured.
Later, the driver of the car would have left the scene of the accident, shortly after being spotted by the police.
The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being 0.55 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
“Following testing with the device provided, indications emerged regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances.
We note that this is not evidence in the criminal case, the person being taken to a medical facility, for the collection of biological samples, in order to accurately establish the consumption of prohibited substances and the alcohol level in the blood.
In the case, a criminal investigation file was drawn up for committing the crimes of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances, culpable bodily harm and leaving the scene of the accident” – the IPJ Constanța representatives further specified.
