Like in communism! At the Prefecture of Satu Mare, awards were given for political and group sympathies

--

The politicization or repoliticization of the Satu Mare Prefect’s Institution has once again given birth to monsters. Everything came to light at the marking of 160 years of attestation of the Prefect’s Institution. In order to mark the event “as it should be”, some prizes were also given to some people (in no case personalities) based on criteria known only to the leadership of the Satu Mare Prefecture. From prefect Radu Roca (PSD) to sub-prefects Romeo Pop (PNL) or Altfatter Tamas (UDMR).

“Today, on our birthday, we chose to celebrate Culture. During a high-profile event, in the Festive Hall of the institution, we marked, by awarding honorary plaques, 30 of the personalities (?!) of Satmar culture, respectively representatives of cultural, artistic or media institutions, with selected presence at the festivity of representatives of the county, local authorities and other guests”, it is stated on the page of the Prefecture of Satu Mare.

Editor’s note: This is what happens when the nominations are made by the prefect and the two sub-prefects, leaders of political parties, without consulting opinion vectors or professionals in the field. Following the model implemented with great success before 1989, the three politicians who became the head of the Satu Mare Prefecture proved to us that if you are a so-called politician you automatically end up being good at anything and everything.

It is important to state that on that list there are really valuable people of culture or sports who deserve our gratitude. But space was also made for some characters who stood out more by maintaining the atmosphere at all kinds of political parties. And the reward was not long in coming, including by planting in some positions in the state.

Because no representative of the online mass media (the main force of Satmare journalism) – respectively the vice president of the Union of Professional Journalists from Romania – Satu Mare branch – Valentin Păduraru was on that list, PresaSM will no longer participate in any activity of the Prefect’s Institution.
