15-year-old girl beaten by some beggars in the Center of Sibiu. “One took out the knife and wanted to kill her”

While on her way to School Number 1, starting from the bus stop in Centru, a 15-year-old girl was assaulted by a group of street people. The incident took place near the SuperMama restaurant, near Astra Park, where the young woman was aggressively approached by a group of men and women. The incident occurred less than two weeks after a child was assaulted by several teenage girls on the streets of Sibiu.

Alexandra was walking to school in the early hours of Monday, April 1 when a group of street people who were probably under the influence of alcoholic beverages, became aggressive both verbally and physically. The student ignored the shouts of the men shouting at her, walking on even after they threw a bottle at her. Further, some women from the group followed the student until she reached Filarmonici Street, near the intersection with Coposu Boulevard, where they brutally beat her using even a knife.

“Yesterday my 15-year-old cousin was on her way to school No. 1 from Sibiu at 12:00. When she arrived in the Center, some individuals under the influence of alcohol and possibly drugs started shouting for her in the street. They threw a bottle at her. When he arrived at the street corners, the individuals were also with some women, including teenagers who, as far as I understand, are begging in the Center of Sibiu. The girl ignored them and continued towards the school and when she reached the street corner those 5 women jumped on her and started beating her, at the same time one of those women pulled out a knife wanting to kill her, they tried to cut her hair, they knocked her down. Fortunately, a man appeared who ran towards them and then they left the girl alone and ran away,” said Denisa Iordache, the assaulted girl’s cousin.

Denisa Iordache also mentions that, while Alexandra was being assaulted, several people were filming from their cars without intervening in any way. Later, the teenager went to the school management, who contacted the parents. The young woman’s father accompanied his daughter to the Emergency Department of the County Hospital, where additional investigations were carried out. In the coming days, the family will take steps to obtain a medico-legal certificate and file a complaint with the Police. Several people from the aggressive group were also observed today in the same area of ​​the City Center.

“The girl was at the hospital. Today when she went to school again, two women from that group were in the Center. He also saw the men today. We called in the hope that we would find the videos. A lot of them sat and watched from the car and filmed, they didn’t do anything. I’m also thinking about my children and I’ll be afraid to leave them alone on the street”, said Denisa Iordache.

The girl’s family wants to obtain the videos allegedly recorded by bystanders in order to identify those involved and bring them to the authorities to be held accountable according to the law.
