The Bihor County Council announced on Tuesday that, following the auction organized for this purpose, it has established the association of companies that will design and execute the project of widening DN 19 from two to four lanes at the exit from Oradea towards Biharia.

Asfamixt with OPR Asphalt

It is about the association between Asfamixt (Oradea) and OPR Asfalt (Timișoara), their offer being declared the winner for the amount of 36.63 million lei, VAT included. As the deadline for submitting appeals is April 12, the contract can only be signed after this date.

According to the specifications, the companies have 9 months for the execution of the contract, of which 3 months are provided for design and obtaining approvals, and 6 months for the actual works.

The project envisages widening the road to four lanes over a distance of 3.7 km, between the positions km 5+985 – km 9+731. “Practically, the section is between the Socar gas station, continues towards the roundabout in the Remarkt supermarket area (no – the former Real II from the Bishopric of Bihor)up to the intersection with the Biharia bypass option, which is under construction,” says CJ Bihor, specifying that a roundabout will be set up at the intersection between DN 19 and the Biharia belt.

On DN 79, Dumexim

Since the middle of February, a similar project has been implemented on DN 79 for the widening of the road from two to four lanes from Oradea Airport to the intersection with the Nojorid belt and the communal road to Livada de Bihor, for 1.6 kilometers .

For this work, the tender was won by Dumexim, against the amount of 23.46 million lei, it also had to be completed in 9 months, of which the execution would last 6 months.

Both projects are carried out on the basis of the partnership between CJ Bihor and CNAIR, the financing being provided from European funds, through the Transport Program 2021 – 2027.

The widening to four lanes towards Biharia and Nojorid will improve road traffic in the Oradea Metropolitan Area and complement other infrastructure investments carried out by CJ Bihor, such as those for the construction, also in the ZMO, of the Nojorid, Oșorhei, Sânmartin and Sântandrei belts.
