As part of the partnership between the Romanian Gendarmerie, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and Salvamont, a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon special vehicle, purchased within the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020, through the Project Improving the capacity to intervene in medical emergencies, was distributed to the County Gendarmerie Inspectorate Suceava, the institution announced on Tuesday.
This vehicle, equipped with a special trailer for the transport of service dogs used in search-rescue missions, equipment and first-aid equipment, will increase the efficiency of the intervention and will contribute to ensuring the protection of citizens in emergency situations.
Also, the SSANGYONG MUSSO GRAND brand vehicle is equipped with high-performance equipment, designed to ensure quick and efficient intervention in emergency situations.
The vehicle is equipped with a screen to display some warning messages to the population, cameras with thermal imaging, but also equipment to ensure access to difficult areas. It is part of a batch of 51 special vehicles purchased by the Romanian Gendarmerie, as part of a project financed by the World Bank, the total value of the purchase being 12.88 million lei.
