At the same time, railway traffic was temporarily affected on highway 500 in the town of Moara Nouă in Prahova county, due to fallen trees on the contact line.

Due to the strong wind, maneuvers in all Black Sea ports and crossings with ferry boats from Zimnicea/TR and Turnu Măgurele/TR to Bulgaria were suspended.

In terms of electricity supply, breakdowns were recorded in 7 localities in Harghita County, totaling approximately 1,531 unsupplied final consumers.

The good news is that no casualties were reported.

To prevent life-threatening situations, DSU recommends:

  • Stop activities carried out in open ground or at height.
  • Close all the windows of the house and other categories of construction.
  • Avoid sheltering or passing near trees, poles, billboards, constructions with architectural elements that can be easily dislodged, as well as buildings under construction.
  • Follow radio/TV stations for weather reports and recommendations from the authorities.
