The teacher of a kindergarten in Ploiesti, recorded when she screams at a child and threatens him: “Who beat you, me? Do you want me to call the police?”

A new shocking case at a kindergarten in Ploiesti. An educator was captured on an audio recording threatening and yelling at a child. “Aren’t you ashamed? Do you want me to call the police?” is the teacher’s reaction when the little boy says that he was beaten by “Ms. Mirela”. The management of the unit has started an investigation, and the disciplinary committee will meet tomorrow.

The incident took place last week, at the Kindergarten with Extended Program no. 47. Even the mother of the verbally abused child sent the audio material to the director of the unit, Elvira Soare.

On the recording, you can clearly hear the teacher yelling at the child and threatening him.

“Why do you beat the children? Did someone do something to you? What, do you hear them? Someone did something to him. You’re crazy?! Who, honey, what did you do? Who beat you out of class?”

“You heard, brother, that Mrs. Mirela beat him. You’re crazy?! How can Mrs. Mirela beat you?!

Aren’t you ashamed? Do you want me to call the police?”, can be heard on the recording, which can be heard in full at the end of the text.

Elvira Soare, the director of the kindergarten, said that last Thursday she came into possession of the material. This also stated that there is no written notification from any parent, dissatisfied with the teacher’s attitude in this regard.

“The lady has been an educator in our kindergarten since 2015 and there has never been any conflict. I also received the recording from the mother of that little boy who also asked me to transfer the little one to another group. I self-reported in this case and started the legal procedure. We meet the Board of Directors, and then the disciplinary investigation begins and the investigation will take place. Depending on the result, legal measures will be taken in such cases”.

The management of ISJPH reacted to this new incident that happened in a kindergarten in Ploiesti.

The Prahova County School Inspectorate was informed by the educational unit about the notification of a parent of a preschooler on Friday, 30.03.2024, the management of the educational unit also informing about the subsequent measures imposed by the content of the notification.

In accordance with the Pre-University Education Law no. 198/2023, the competence to investigate the reported issues belongs to the educational unit with which the employee has concluded an individual employment contract.

Acts of physical and/or verbal violence against students constitute disciplinary misconduct, but proving the existence of a disciplinary misconduct must be done according to the legal procedures in force. Thus, for the investigation of the circumstances and the complained facts, committed by the teaching staff of the educational units, a disciplinary investigation commission is established at the level of the educational institution. Only after establishing the circumstances and facts complained of, their consequences, the circumstances in which they were committed, the existence or non-existence of guilt, the necessary measures can be taken.

During the period of the disciplinary investigation, the teaching staff will not carry out teaching activities with the primary beneficiaries, being suspended”.
