The heinous crime took place in a commune in Teslui, Olt county. According to the information sent by the IPJ Olt representatives, the 68-year-old man killed his wife due to alcohol consumption and a conflict, writes edition.ro.

A family quarrel escalated and turned into a tragedy. A 68-year-old man killed his wife. After allegedly hitting her in the head with a piece of wood, several times, he stabbed her with a sharp-edged object in the thoraco-pectoral area.
“From the first checks, the police established the fact that, on the evening of March 31, 2024, a 68-year-old man, against the background of alcohol consumption and an intra-family conflict, would have hit his wife several times with a piece of wood in the head area and allegedly stabbed her with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area. As a result of the event, the woman died, and her body was transported to the Slatina Emergency County Hospital, in order to carry out the necropsy, in order to accurately determine the cause of death,” the police said.
For his deed, the man was detained for 24 hours under the aspect of committing the crime of murder. He was placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Olt County Police Inspectorate, to be presented to the Olt Court, with legal proposals, on April 1, 2024.
