At Suceava Prefecture, during a new meeting of the Social Dialogue Commission of Suceava county, requested by the National Sports and Youth Union (SNST), two major issues related to working conditions and salary rights of employees in the field were discussed on Monday Sport and Youth, as well as for the settlement of staff commuting from educational units in Suceava municipality and Mitocu Dragomirnei commune.

The meeting was chaired by prefect Alexandru Moldovan, with sub-prefects Cristian Șologon and Florin Sinescu, along with Claudia Nechifor, the general secretary of the Prefect’s Institution.

The representatives of the union and institutions present presented their views on wage inequities, unpaid and uncompensated overtime due to understaffing, overworked employees and poor working conditions in the Sports and Youth field. These problems are also amplified by the low level of wages in this sector.

Also discussed was the issue of commuting for staff employed in educational institutions in the municipality of Suceava and the commune of Mitocu Dragomirnei, a necessity for many employees who are forced to travel daily between their workplace and their home.
