17 localities from Dâmbovița and Prahova counties, associated with the Dealurile Sultanului GAL, will benefit from non-refundable European funds within the Local Development Strategy that will finance QUALITY SERVICES AND PRODUCTS TO INCREASE THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE GAL TERRITORY.

Fabian ROTARU, the manager of GAL Dealurile Sultanului: “Increasing the attractiveness of the territory of GAL Dealurile Sultanului, both for its residents and for visitors and tourists, will be achieved by supporting the implementation of projects that lead to the establishment of local gastronomic points, preserving the culinary tradition of the area through offering healthy, natural, “from the mountain” products and enhancing the natural hill and mountain environment, clean and attractive, through relaxation tourism, promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of the territory – folk dances and songs, customs and local events. And at the end we will make a map of the territory with the gastronomic, tourist and cultural attractions”.

The ARTE 21 – Stories of the World association, a member of the Dealurile Sultanului GAL, supports the development of the area through a series of artistic activities that will enrich the local heritage with contemporary cultural products:

1. Visual installation and exhibition of objects with emotional value in his view Andu Dumitrescuvisual artist, and 4 audio podcasts made by Alex Neagu, sound designer.
2. Re-choreography of traditional dances from Valea Lungă – Cricov from the artistic perspective of Dear Dianacontemporary choreographer.
3. Performative text and mural painting: the playwrights Ovidiu Cioclov and Vera Nica they will build a performative text that will be visually interpreted in the form of a mural by the visual artist Alexa Lincu.

Sultan Hills Local Action Group covers the territory related to the northern area of ​​Muntenia, in the northeast of Dâmbovița county and the northwest of Prahova county, along the rivers Cricovul Dulce, Provița, Prahova, Azuga, Doftana, Vărbilău and Slănic. The 17 UAT components of the partnership (Vișinești, Vârfuri, Valea Lungă, Iedera, Moreni, Filipeștii de Pădure, Provita de Jos, Provita de Sus, Adunați, Talea, Comarnic, Azuga, Secăria, Valea Doftanei, Bertea, Ștefești and Slanic ), 5 in Dâmbovița county and 12 in Prahova county, form a continuous, coherent and homogeneous territory from a geographical and strategic point of view.

The project “Cultural Remix Between the Hills” is an independent cultural project carried out by ARTE 21 Association – Stories of the World between March and July 2024, in partnership with Vârfuri commune, Valea Lungă commune and VAR Association and is co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.

On Monday, March 11, 2024, the project launch event took place at the Vârfuri Town Hall, Dâmbovița county. Mr. Răzvan Banaru, the mayor of Vârfuri Municipality, Mr. Emil Negru, the mayor of Valea Lungă Municipality, other local officials, residents of the two communities participated.
