The Rogerius Coalition, founded by associations of Oradeans who live in the block in the neighborhood of the same name, took to the stage last Thursday to criticize the municipality’s new sanitation regulations.

Their grievances are well-founded, Ioan Horvath and other heads of associations criticizing the City Hall for not organizing a meeting in which the draft regulation was debated and for not providing the necessary infrastructure for waste collection in 5 fractions, the pens in the city being able to be opened by the street people who compromise the efforts of the citizens of Oradea to collect separately.

While they point the finger at the City Hall for being non-transparent, the Rogerius Coalition is no better. Asked by journalists how many associations the Coalition now brings together, in order to be able to clarify on behalf of how many Oradeans it speaks, Horvath refused to give any answer, saying, like a little dictator, that “there are as many as I want them to be”.

Then, he sent journalists to check how many friends the Rogerius Coalition has on Facebook, and when another member of the coalition, Silvia Ardelean, wanted to estimate the number of associations, Horvath interrupted her, preferring that the representativeness of the alliance he leads should remain a conundrum. A sign that, most likely, the Coalition has become small…
