The artesian fountain on the “Ivan Patzaichin” Cliff reopens today for a new tourist season

The artesian fountain located on the “Ivan Patzaichin” Cliff in the municipality will be reopened today, from 20:00.

The inauguration of the new operating season of one of the main attractions in the city will take place in an event organized by the “Jean Bart” Cultural Center and supported by the Tulcea County Council.

Also, an artistic moment will be organized where hundreds of dancers will present games of the national minorities and Romanian games in anticipation of the International Dance Day, celebrated on April 29. Along with the inauguration of a new lighting and music scenario for the artesian fountain, the organizers also announce a series of surprises for the participants.

Thus, the people of Tulcea are invited to the cliff, today, starting at 18:30, the opening of the fountain being scheduled to start at 20:00.

“When I started the waterfront rehabilitation project, I wanted to create a place for all the people of Tulcena, to bring the community together. After the inauguration, people’s response exceeded my expectations and I’m glad that this space has turned from something we were ashamed of into a landmark of the city. I’m glad that we manage, together with the warm weather and the holidays, to reopen the artesian fountain so that we, and the tourists who cross our threshold during this period, can take part in this spectacle”, declared the president of the Tulcea County Council , Horia Teodorescu.

As part of the project to modernize the city’s waterfront, the County Council sought to set up a meeting space for the people of Tulcena and for tourists, which would offer not only walking options, but also a visual and sound show, which children can equally enjoy and adults.

“With water games synchronized to various musical rhythms, highlighted by colorful, dynamically changing lights, the artesian fountain quickly became a landmark for the city’s residents and a favorite place to spend free time in the evenings of the warm season” , according to a press release from CJ Tulcea.
