Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu appointed Victorița Dumitrașcu as general inspector of the State Construction Inspectorate (ISC), according to a decision published in the Official Gazette. She replaced Paul Racoviță in the position.

Victorița Dumitrașcu is the granddaughter of Aura Vasile, political sources told G4Media. Aura Vasile was one of the leaders of PSD Bucharest in the 2000s, being close to the powerful former Minister of Industries Dan Ioan Popescu.

Later, Aura Vasile became the right hand of Marian Vanghelie, head of PSD Bucharest and mayor of District 5.

Aura Vasile was a PSD deputy for three mandates. In 2011, he flirted with UNPR, the party led by Gabriel Oprea, but at the last moment he no longer joined the political formation that ensured the government majority alongside Traian Băsescu’s PDL.

The State Construction Inspectorate (ISC) is an essential institution for the construction and urban planning market. ISC inspectors verify compliance with the legislation regarding civil constructions, whether it is about large public projects or private real estate projects.
