Application trail for children, dog training on Gendarmerie Day, but also Creative Workshops, Puppet Theater and chess competition, in Iulius Town

Gendarmerie Day is marked in Iulius Town through activities dedicated to all family members, supported by representatives of the Timiș County Gendarmerie Inspectorate. On Saturday, March 30, 2024, in Iulius Gardens, starting at 2 p.m., there will be technical and equipment presentations, an exhibition of special vehicles, as well as dog training demonstrations.

What’s more, the little ones are encouraged to take part in the circuits customized for them, with easy obstacles that challenge them to pass the hurdles, walk on the beam and push their limits. Those who want to know more can talk to representatives of the institution who will present the educational offer in the event area.

Also on Saturday, the School Chess competition takes place in the Iulius Town Atrium. The tournament is dedicated to all levels of experience, the goal of the event being the promotion of chess among students. Chess in the school will start at 10:00 a.m., and the most skilled players will demonstrate their ability to anticipate the opponent’s moves, but also their strategic thinking.

Saturday continues for the little ones in the Intersport square in Iulius Mall, where the Creation and Facepainting Workshops take place. Between 16.00 and 19.00, they are expected to “transform” into the bravest heroes and decorate sports backpacks. Participation in the Workshops is free, subject to availability. All materials are free, being made available by Iulius Town.

The Puppet Theater returns again this Sunday, from 11:00 a.m., in the Iulius Town food court, with a play designed to teach the little ones about the desire to become better. “The Ugly Duckling” will be staged this weekend.
