A new television station appears in Romania! It will be released at the beginning of April and will offer viewers in our country especially American classic films. Digi RCS RDS subscribers will not be able to enjoy the new TV station, as it is not available on this cable network.
The National Broadcasting Council (CNA) received a notification from AMC announcing the launch of Film Mania Romania. The new TV channel will mainly focus on broadcasting classic American films.

According to Paginademedia.ro, the new TV channel, Film Mania Romania, will be available from the beginning of April on the Vodafone and Orange cable networks. Despite the fact that Digi RCS RDS has the most subscribers in our country, it seems that they do not want that access to the new television station.
AMC Networks is already present in our country through AMC, Film Cafe, TV Paprika, Minimax and JimJam televisions. In Hungary, Film Mania is already a household name, being among the favorites of viewers in this country. Film Mania is the successor to Filmmuzeum television, this change taking place in 2012. In the same year, another television within the AMC group underwent a major change. It is about Zone Romantica, which has been transformed into Film Cafe.
TVR launched a channel dedicated to sports
Romanian Television launched at the beginning of this month TVR SPORT, a channel dedicated to sports. From July 26 to August 11, the new TV channel will broadcast the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In addition, TVR SPORT will focus on broadcasting a wide range of sports, in addition to football, for which TVR has obtained broadcast rights . At the same time, the new TV station will offer viewers exclusive programs, including images from the golden archive of television, news, portrait shows, interviews and debates on specific topics.
History buffs have reason to rejoice
On December 7, 2023, Clever Media launched Prima History, the first television channel in Romania dedicated to history enthusiasts. The new TV channel has replaced CinemaEst in the schedule of television viewers in our country. The new channel offers a varied range of documentary films that present important events and characters in Romania’s history.
