The swindler (23 years old) approached the employee of a store located on Aleea Postăvaru in the Carpati I District in the municipality of Satu Mare to exchange 4 200 lei banknotes for smaller 50 and 100 lei banknotes. After receiving the changed money, the swindler broke a part of the sum of money, using the “shmen” method, and tried to return the difference to the victim to be changed into smaller bills, but the latter, noticing the latter’s intention to deceive him, refused to receive his banknotes, according to PresaSM information.

The victim then called the Police and told the uniformed officers that the fraudster bought an energizer worth 2.50 lei, paying with 4 1 lei bills. I gave him back 1.50 lei, telling him that he gave him more than he needed. Next, he asked him to change 4 200 lei bills into smaller bills. He took the 4 200 lei bills, and instead gave him 4 100 lei bills and 8 50 lei bills. He took the money with his left hand, passed it to his leg, and with his right hand he took some of the bills that he had in his left hand. The difference that remained in his left hand, he put on the table and asked to change them into smaller bills. Seeing that he took part of the money he had in his hand, the injured person pushed the money towards him and asked him to leave.

He did not want to leave the store, the injured person came out from behind the counter and led him out. Continuing the discussions, when they got outside, he started to verbally assault the injured person, he told him that he was taking a knife out of the bag he had on him and that he was going to cut him. Seeing that he was reaching for his bag at that moment, the injured person turned and went into the store, intending to close the door of the store, but noticed that the person in question had run away.

The bad luck of the criminal was that there are 4 surveillance cameras in the store. of which 2 surprised the event. At the same time, the victim stated that the only demands he has towards the person in question is that he should stop coming to his store, that is, that he does not want to file a complaint for committing the crime of threat.

The offender told police that after several confrontational discussions in which they were both holding each other by the shirt, fearing he would be hit by the cashier, the suspect told the cashier that if he did not let him go, he would pull a knife from the bag he had on his shoulder. What is certain is that the fraudster ended up behind bars.
