The Harghita rally powered by Toyota opens the national rally season for the second consecutive year

Only one month away from the start of the 32nd edition of the Harghita Rally powered by Toyota 2024, the largest and most important automotive event in Harghita county. Organized for the first time in 1978, the Harghita stage will hold its 11th consecutive edition this year.

The situation on the ground – the rehabilitation and asphalting of several roads in the county – forced the organizer Maxx Racing to follow the same recipe as two seasons ago. So, Harghita rally powered by Toyota 2024 proposes a total of 12 special tests over two days of competition, in which the participating crews will have to cover a little over 500 km, of which almost 120 km will be timed.

Not only the special stages remain the same this season, but also the most important locations of the event. The service park does not change its location, it will host the technical teams along the same Kossuth Lajos and Rákóczi Ferenc streets, while the festivities – both the start and the finish – will take place in Márton Áron Square. The administrative and operational center remains unchanged, at Hotel Küküllő Târnava – official partner of Harghita rally powered by Toyota 2024.

This season’s edition of the Harghita stage will start on Wednesday [24 Aprilie] with the acknowledgments of the special tests, this program extending until Friday [26 Aprilie] including – for crews not participating in the Shakedown. Although there will be no sports activities on Thursday [25 Aprilie] it will be a full one: at 12:00 the initial press conference will take place, and from 13:00 the technical representatives of the Romanian Motor Sports Federation will start the initial technical checks at the headquarters Toyota Harghita – official partner of the Harghita Rally. The competition cars will stop for a short moment in the service park, to then be driven to the stage located in Márton Áron Square, in view of the Festive Start and the presentation of the crews, an occasion that cannot be missed by any fan of motor sports .

Competitive action a Harghita rally powered by Toyota 2024 it starts early in the morning on Friday [26 Aprilie] with the official tests from Forțeni. There, in the repeated passes on the 2.85 km, the crews will have the opportunity to make the last settings before the actual start of the competition. And while we were talking about the start, the first competition car will leave the service park at 15:00, heading for the longest stage of the rally. The “Bucin” special (28.70 km) will set the tone for this edition Harghita rally powered by Toyota 2024being followed by the well-known trial “Lebanon” (11.83 km) – the last stop before the Super Special “Árpád Dietrich” in the center of the host city, Odorheiu Secuiesc, a show trial that will end the first day of the competition of the 32nd edition.

Saturday’s schedule [27 Aprilie] will focus almost entirely on the upper course of the Homorodului Mic, already known both to the spectators and especially to the competitors. The crews will complete three identical loops of three distinct special tests each, the “Merești” special (6.13 km) opening the ball of the second day. This will be followed by the “Sânpaul” race (6.35 km) known not only for the starting area between the lakes but also for the bumps that put the crews present at the start to a hard test. All three loops will end with the famous special a Harghita rally powered by Toyota 2024: “Lueta”, which will also mark the Power Stage of the 13.20 km edition. The fastest crews will be awarded in the evening of the same day, on the stage located in Márton Áron Square.
