An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred on Sunday morning, at 6:43 local time, in Vrancea county, Vrancea seismic zone, according to information published by the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 86.2 kilometers (km) near the following cities: 41 km west of Focșani, 67 km north of Buzău, 69 km east of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 82 km east of Braşov, 93 km south of Bacău and 95 km southwest of Bârlad.
Since the beginning of April, 29 earthquakes have been recorded in Romania, with magnitudes between 2 and 3.9.
Last year, the largest tectonic movement, of magnitude 5.7, took place on February 14, in Gorj county, at a depth of 6.3 kilometers.
