The confrontation with Phoenix Buziaș, a team 14 points behind the “red-blues” was discussed in a press conference, where conclusions were also drawn after the regular season.

“I want to congratulate the team and the technical staff for the results achieved. We finished the regular season in 1st place, the only undefeated team in League 3, a course we also want in the play-offs. We have hopes and are confident that we can promote in League 2. We also thank the supporters for being with us and we expect them with us in even greater numbers from match to match,” said president George Tătar.

The coach who made FC Bihor the best group in Series 8 with 14 wins and 4 draws, goal difference 51-12, says that the team is on a good path. “We finished a first stage of the three. We start an interesting play-off in terms of what the composition of the participating teams means. We hope it will be successful like what we have done so far, to finish well and prepare the most important goal”

Florin Farcaș expected Phoenix Buziaș to make it to the play-off, characterizing it as “a crafty team, technically quite qualitative, which defends very well. We are ready to play a good game and win on Saturday. Buziașul is the team that only lost to Oradea in away matches. It won’t be an easy game, especially since the pressure is on and every result is important. I believe in all the players and at the time of the game on Saturday we will look good”.

Versatile footballer, Răzvan Gunie wants to be useful to the team wherever the coach sends him on the field.

“We start with good morale. We hope to continue the consistently good developments in the play-offs and get the desired results. We are motivated, eager to prove and I believe we have the potential to promote. We have all the advantages on our side, being on the 1st place, the only undefeated team”, declared Gunie, who has active matches in the second echelon with Luceafărul and Viitorul Pandurii.

The list of unavailables has been reduced, after Florin Chitaș and Luca Tincău trained in the last days, while Sergiu Ciocan’s recovery will take about three weeks.

Financial stability

President George Tătar assured that FC Bihor is also financially stable and has the necessary resources to reach League 2: “I think we are the team in League 3, the team with the most revenues in the private sector. We also have stability at the level of the City Hall and the County Council. For now, we have taken 100,000 euros from the allocated money and we can attract another 350,000 euros. We are very well and we are ready. Next, companies from the private match come with us. Oradea wants football, the whole city vibrates and wants us to be promoted to League 2 and in the future to be even higher”.

FC Bihor starts the play-off with seven points ahead of the main opponent Poli Timișoara. In the other match of the stage, the “purple and white” will also play on Saturday, from 15:00 at home against CSC Peciu Nou.

“We have confidence, we have potential, peace of mind, the public is with us. We play with at least 1,500 people in the stands and we thank them for their support. Of course, there will be moments when the game will not be as expected, but the important thing is the result. The world must be patient, we know what we have to do and we will certainly thank them and be happy together at the end”, said, among other things, coach Florin Farcaș

The price of an entrance ticket is 10 lei, and children under the age of 14 and people with disabilities benefit from free access.
