Two weak earthquakes occurred on Thursday morning in the Moldova area. The first of these, with a magnitude of 3.3, occurred in Neamţ County, and the second, with a magnitude of 2.4, occurred in the Bacău area.
The first earthquake occurred at 8:36:51 (Romania local time), in Neamţ County, with a magnitude of 3.3. The telluric movement occurred at a depth of 12.9 kilometers.
The second seims took place approximately two hours later, in Bacău county.
“On March 28, 2024, at 10:18:07 a.m. (local time of Romania), a weak earthquake with a magnitude of ml 2.4 occurred in Moldova, Bacău, at a depth of 5.3 km. The earthquake occurred near the following cities: 45km W of Bacău, 56km S of Piatra Neamt, 71km SW of Roman, 75km NE of Sfântu-Gheorghe”, announces the National Institute for Earth Physics.
