The situation in February shows only 11 projects evaluated and approved in Gorj county, 8 in Dolj, 10 in Prahova and 4 in Mureş, a sign that the call did not attract too many submitted projects. On Hunedoara and Galati, the evaluation was not completed A minus of the program is the co-financing of 40% plus VAT, many conditions to be met and too short a submission deadline, according to the entrepreneurs.

SMEs from the counties of Galati, Gorj, Hunedoara, Dolj, Prahova and Mureş can access funds of 775 million euros through the Just Transition Program, in the first call that supports sustainable development and the creation of new jobs, opened at the end of December passed and extended until April 20. However, the situation of the projects evaluated in February shows that not many companies have piled on this call.

“Mureş County has 89 million euros in this first call, so far only 18 projects have been submitted, representing a total of less than 40 million euros. The projects must respond to the requirements related to the green transition”, Nicolae Mărginean, director of communication at ADR Centru, told ZF.

Companies that submit projects must comply with rules related to environmental protection, this being one of the mandatory conditions to obtain such financing. The purpose of the program is to reduce the impact of the transition to climate neutrality.

ZF spoke with five companies that submitted projects in this call to develop a biodegradable packaging factory, a meat processing hall, a metal parts factory, a hotel in Dealu Mare or a storage hall.
