Persecuted by the communist dictatorship! More than 4,000 residents of Vaslui receive a special allowance from the state

The Vaslui County Pension House (CJP) is paying 4,064 allowances regarding the granting of rights to persons persecuted for political reasons by the dictatorship established on March 6, 1945, as well as to those deported abroad or imprisoned.

“The average compensation received by beneficiaries amounts to 1,085 lei, and the total amount paid in March 2024 amounts to 4,409,872 lei”said Loredana Enache, spokesperson for CJP Vaslui.

On January 1, 2024, in the state social insurance segment, 80,544 pensioners were in payment in Vaslui county. The average pension received is 1,857 lei, one of the lowest values ​​at the national level. In the same month, the total amount of due rights amounted to 149.5 million lei.

Besides, the life of pensioners in Vaslui county is getting harder. Most of the elderly receive pensions of up to 1,400 lei, sums which in the current economic context are totally insufficient. Meat products have become a luxury for the elderly, and they have to make real financial efforts to purchase medicines. People complain and worry about tomorrow.
